Tattoos and Humans: The Most Important Thing in Life is to Live Life

“I always wanted to get into fitness and change my body for good. I was in college studying civil engineering when I met my partner Gaurav, and coincidentally, he was also passionate about fitness. Post college I started working as a lecturer and Gaurav got a job. But I realised that teaching wasn’t my calling so I left it to pursue another profession. Alongside, when we both got our first salary, invested in our first gym membership.”

Fitness

“After our office hours we used to meet up, hop into a gym and sweat it out. A year later I decided to join a fitness competition, Gaurabh had already participated in one but I also wanted to join. But back at my daytime job, I was told I could either choose this or fitness, so I gave up my job for fitness. I
was skeptical about my decision, but I was adamant about making it work.”

Discipline

“A lot of people have this notion that I look fit and fab 365 days a year since I’m into fitness. But that’s not true, of course during the competition my body looks its best self, but sometimes I don’t feel like working out. But I believe at the end of the day you do what you love the best. Fitness is not restricted to gym only, it can be swimming, walking while travel, sea side yoga etc. A lot of people tell me on social media that I motivate them in some or the other way, so it makes me happy knowing that I’m helping people. That keeps me motivated.”

Life

“Discipline is important in life, but it shouldn’t keep you from living your life. I do my work with a disciplined approach, that is not always the case. I travel a lot, I explore a lot, I eat mindfully. The reason I stopped competing and started living a normal life is for people to relate and understand that I don’t follow a strict discipline. Fitness is not my life, it’s a part of my life, a normal person can’t diet,
exercise or do heavy workouts religiously. The most important thing in life, is to live life.”

This travel blogger’ thinks experience is the best teacher, read to know why :

“I think I have grown a lot as a person, the young Pooja and current Pooja are two different personalities. I don’t jump to conclusions anymore, I have brought a transition in my life. Once known as a very disciplined human, I have now learnt to live life and do whatever makes my heart happy. One of the proudest moments of my life was when I got into ‘MTV Roadies ’ in 2019 and became ‘MTV Roadies Real Hero Of The Year’, I will always cherish that moment.”

Tattoos

“I don’t have any tattoos as of now but I do plan to get one, though I’m not in a hurry. I have always believed that tattoos are not just mere prints, they’re a memory. And I also heard that you shouldn’t get your partner’s name inked so maybe I’ll get my dogs’ paws inked” “I don’t think people considered tattoos as a taboo, they just didn’t know the idea behind getting a tattoo or why someone wants to get a tattoo. Most people now think that it’s a fashion statement
and a very modern approach to life. ”
